As a Development Manager for CareerWise, David Fulton helps secure funding that advances the mission of Careerwise. In addition to applying for grants, he provides regular updates to funders about how the use of funds aligns with expectations of the grant. He has held several roles within Careerwise, most recently on the Education team.
Prior to joining CareerWise, Fulton served as the regional director of Facing History and Ourselves, an international educational non-profit linking the study of history with ethical reflection and action. He began his career as a teacher and administrator and then joined Denver Public Schools’ Office of Character and School Culture, where he served as its assistant director. He is co-author of “Building an Intentional School Culture: Excellence in Academics and Character” (Corwin Press, 2007).
A graduate of Emory University, he holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in foundations of education and completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He enjoys tennis and hiking, and lives in Golden with his wife and two small children, Adele. and Amos.
