Jake is a Program Manager for National Partnerships at CarerWise Colorado who provides technical assistance to communities across the country to advance youth apprenticeship programs. Having worked to help people facing barriers to employment access opportunities for training and good jobs since 2011, Jake knows that apprenticeship provides a proven model for career development and educational attainment to the mutual benefit of apprentices and employers. At Jane Addams Resource Corporation, Jake helped launch a multi-year CNC machining apprenticeship program with a global plastics manufacturer that connected to a pipeline of job training participants from underserved communities in Chicago. At Jobs to Move America, he designed workforce training agreements between community, labor, and business that focused on targeted hiring, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship training to support the production of buses and railcars in Chicago and Los Angeles. Additionally, he loves connecting with learners young and old as an experienced ABE and ELA tutor.
Jake holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.
