This research-driven Collaborative will bring together leaders working to create state-level career education systems that align to a shared vision.
Participants will be grounded in the history, evidence and infrastructure of the U.S. education, training and employment contexts and informed and inspired by analysis of international dual education system exemplars, including the Swiss system, as they learn, plan and mobilize.
The Collaborative is motivated by the increasingly critical role states play in creating the conditions within which learners, workers and employers alike can grow and thrive.
The kickoff convening, in late September, will include up to eight CEMETS alumni states. Each group will be a combination of leaders from education systems, business intermediary groups, government, non-profit intermediaries and funders supporting work related to education systems reform and youth apprenticeship.
To formalize a shared commitment to advancing state systems that share common tenets and goals, the convening will culminate in a joint public statement released by collaborative members.
