Whitney Allen has worked in multiple capacities at CareerWise for the last five and a half years and currently serves as Senior National Partnerships Manager, with an emphasis on Employer Solutions. Whitney provides technical assistance and strategic planning for multiple affiliates and partners across the CareerWise national network and hosts functional Peer Learning Groups for cross-network collaboration and learning. Based on her research and extensive experience in the field, Whitney also advises, and presents to, broader ecosystem and consulting partners on employer engagement as it pertains to youth apprenticeship. Prior to her current role, Whitney served her first three years at CareerWise Colorado as a Customer Success Manager who supported employers, supervisors, and apprentices as they prepared apprentices to be “entry-level-hire-ready” at the completion of the apprenticeship. She also participated in many student recruitment efforts for the CareerWise Colorado Education Team and briefly served as an interim Business Recruitment Manager in Northern Colorado.
Whitney is passionate about impacting cutting-edge projects that inspire youth to pursue their dreams through a variety of pre- and post-secondary college and career programs. She has a long history of volunteering, coaching, and mentoring underserved students and their families and helping Spanish-speaking families navigate the educational system and financial aid processes.
Before working in the high-school-to-college-and-career transition space, she worked in international business, project management and event planning, with a focus in Latin America, and co-founded a leadership and development business. She earned her B.A. from Vassar College and her M.I.M. from Thunderbird School for Global Management. Whitney is fluent in Spanish, a Colorado native, and a mother of two and a four-legged.
