U.S. Advanced CEMETS Institute

An advanced learning consortium for states to develop, refine and research system reforms.

Driving State Innovation

The U.S. Advanced CEMETS Institute is a workshop and community of practice where committed states collaborate to design the policies, systems, and infrastructure needed for youth apprenticeship to thrive at scale. Led by CareerWise and Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, U.S. CEMETS uses the Swiss gold standard to inform state-level reforms and test innovative approaches to workforce development.

What Makes U.S. CEMETS Different?

Unlike other advocacy coalitions or implementation support programs, the U.S. Advanced CEMETS Institute is a design lab, offering space for states to develop pilot and refine systemic reforms before rolling them out statewide. Participating states engage in collaborative research, share promising developments and contribute to a growing body of evidence on what works in scaling high quality education and training systems.
